A&K Diner
A&K Diner has brought forward its opening date and will soon announce a new location at 705 Central Ave. W., the former Lippi’s Kitchen. The new restaurant will serve American and Korean cuisine.
O’Hare Inn
The O’Haire Inn has begun its renovation with an updated façade and interior work.
“We are restoring the front to its original beautiful metalwork look and adding signage reminiscent of the original, but with changes that reflect who we are today. We found a carpet that is very close to the exterior and we plan to add new retro linens and touches to the room,” said the ryokan.
Originally called O’Hare Manor, then O’Hare Motor Inn, it was changed to O’Hare Inn.
The owner is looking for photos of the inn from before 1990.
The inn received funding through the City’s Downtown Tax Increase Funding Fund Facade Upgrade Program.
Harvest Craft Kitchen
Harvest Craft Kitchen will move completely from 220 Central Ave. to The Wild Hare at 518 Central Ave.
It will be closed to move everything from September 12th to 21st, and will serve the same menu and specials as The Wild Hare once it reopens.
Nourish also runs a kitchen at their 220 Central location, and the owners are currently looking for a new space.
Carlson Q
Carlson Q BBQ will close its brick and mortar location at 1720 10th Ave. S. and return to catering and selling food from its concession trailer.
Great Falls Theater Company
The Great Falls Theater Company was formed to bring community theater back to Great Falls.
According to the group, GFTC is a nonprofit organization “dedicated to providing quality art opportunities to the community, with a focus on mentoring young artists to succeed.”
To kick off its formation, GFTC is embarking on a multi-month fundraising campaign to bring its first serious music production to life.
We will be holding our first fundraising event on September 28th at 7pm at the Ursuline Center at 2300 Central Avenue.
The company will stage a musical revue, Page to Stage, which showcases songs from musicals that once began in books.
Admission is free, but GFTC is looking to win show sponsorships for upcoming productions.

community band
The Great Falls Community Band will begin fall rehearsals on September 22nd at New Hope Lutheran Church.
The band is a long-standing organization in Great Falls for amateur musicians who continue to make music into adulthood. Many of our members also participate in municipal bands during the summer, playing concerts at Gibson Park every Wednesday.
Membership is open to anyone interested in performing authentic concert band literature written by master composers.
Last season’s band included musicians between the ages of 17 and 81.
Rehearsals will take place at the church on Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm and culminate in a fall concert on November 20th.
Dennis Granley, a retired Great Falls Public School music director, conducts the group.

The 1192 project was offered to Northcon, Inc. of Hayden, Idaho for $182,029.00. The performance period for this award is his 120 calendar days.
NeighborWorks Great Falls
NeighborWorks Great Falls received a US Bank Foundation Community Possible grant of $30,000.
“This funding will help NeighborWorks address the need to break the cycle of poverty by creating affordable, sustainable and successful homeownership opportunities for low-income families. Great Falls offers neighbors multiple ways to do just that through homebuyer education, financial coaching, down payment assistance, rental counseling and more.
The agency is currently developing 25 permanent supportive housing units in the Barts building to help people out of homelessness.
Roadhouse Diner
Roadhouse Diner’s servers were nominated for Best Front-of-House Team on the first Yelp! Service Award.
Voting will be open until Sept. 17, with restaurant owners “to bring home awards to our team who are always dedicated to providing the welcoming and friendly service that The Roadhouse is known for.” Seeking help from the community.
