Northampton, Massachusetts (WWLP) – The Mass Cultural Council and its partners celebrate the awarding of fiscal 2022 Cultural Facilities Fund grants to cultural organizations statewide.
Michael Bobbitt, executive director of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and Dan Rivera, president and CEO of MassDevelopment, will join Hampshire County legislators and local officials at the Bombyx Center for Arts & Equity in Northampton at noon Wednesday. They received a $162,000 grant to renovate the space.
The tour continues at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art with a roundtable discussion on ArtsHub with members of the western mass creative community.
“Our team at the Mass Cultural Council is focused on expanding the many benefits the Power of Culture provides to Massachusetts residents, visitors and communities,” said Bobbitt. . “For me, it is a joy and a passion to see, visit, network and learn more about the cultural heritage of Western Massachusetts. I am very grateful to my colleagues.”
