Kansas City Entertainment: A Weekend of Festivals

Local band Making Movies will headline Ameri’kana, a music and arts extravaganza at Grinders Crossroads.

The big week of live music and festivals in the Kansas City area features events that combine the two.

Hosted by and featuring local Latin band Making Movies, Ameri’kana will take place at Grinders Crossroads on September 10th and will feature free community events from 1pm to 4pm with bands, vendors and artisan markets. Offers. After that, a concert will take place. 6 p.m. Making of his movie, plus David Hidalgo and Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin. For several years, Making Movies has celebrated America’s musical heritage through the American Kana Project, which includes albums and TV shows. The 2022 event will benefit music education nonprofit Art as Mentorship.

Other highlights from this week’s busy entertainment schedule include four concerts at the T-Mobile Center (Luke Bryan, Twenty One Pilots, Michael Bublé, Panic! At The Disco) and four more at the Uptown Theater. and two comedy events. There are also many free things to do, including festivals for every taste.
