Green Bay, Wisconsin – Understanding the value that nonprofits bring to their communities, UW-Green Bay founded the Nonprofit Educational Development Network (Nonprofit Network). To empower nonprofit leaders, the Nonprofit Network has created a suite of services that include basic certification, interactive face-to-face and on-demand advanced training, and organized networking opportunities.
The Nonprofit Network brings together highly-skilled instructors and other nonprofit decision makers in the community with sessions offered online and in person.
Local nonprofit executives, staff, board members, and community leaders are invited to participate in an upcoming conversation on developing a marketing plan, featuring Kitty Johnson, President and CEO of the De Pere Chamber of Commerce. increase. Led by Steve Zimmerman, a leading regional consultant in revenue and finance, this session will help nonprofit leaders develop strategies to better anticipate the changing economic environment and the needs of the communities they serve. You will be asked to use tools to respond to Participants will be presented with a matrix map that visually depicts the organization’s business model, showing how each activity contributes to the organization’s mission impact and financial viability.
The Nonprofit Leadership Certificate provides novice and experienced nonprofit professionals with a solid understanding of five key areas essential to nonprofits: fundraising, financial management, board, human resources, and strategic communications. , allowing you to optimize its influence. Participants can take individual sessions to fill knowledge gaps or earn a 5-course certificate to complete an apex project specific to their organization. Certificates are offered in the fall and spring. Fall sessions start in mid-August. For spring, sessions start in mid-January.
The Nonprofit Network develops on-demand, interactive courses for those interested in serving on nonprofit boards. “Board Compensation and Responsibilities” will begin in the New Year. Other advanced sessions are in development.
