Saskatchewan, Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia announced their Provincial Candidate Program (PNP) results this week.
Most Canadian provinces and territories (except Quebec and Nunavut) operate their own PNPs. Through these programs, interested candidates may be invited to apply for state nominations. State endorsement itself is not the same as permanent residency, but by maximizing your CRS score, it serves as the first step for eligible candidates to obtain permanent residency. For example, a PNP candidate with a nominated Express Entry profile will have 600 points added to their score. You will also be eligible to be invited to apply for a series of PNP-specific invitations.

Since its inception in 1998, the PNP has welcomed only 400 immigrants, but due to its success, it now welcomes more than 80,000 per year. Her PNP enrollment growth in Canada is due to the fact that federal and provincial governments view her PNP as an effective tool to promote the country’s economic development.
The Express Entry draw will take place every two weeks. After a long hiatus, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is once again holding an Express Entry Draw for all programs.
The first all-program draw since 2020 took place on July 6th. Draws continued bi-weekly, with the most recent Express Entry draw taking place on his August 31st, with 2,750 invitations issued and a minimum CRS of 516.

Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan held its biggest draw of 2022 on September 1st. The state has invited a total of 941 candidates from the Express Entry and In-Demand Occupation categories through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Candidates Program (SINP).
The state invited 312 candidates from the Express Entry category and 629 candidates from the Occupations-In-Demand category. The minimum expression of interest score for both categories was 61. All invited candidates underwent an educational qualification assessment.
In July, the state held four draws, inviting over 200 candidates each time, and weekly draws throughout August, typically inviting over 600 candidates. Until July, Saskatchewan saw him draw only once every two months.
Ontario
On August 30, the Province of Ontario invited 680 candidates through the master’s graduate stream and 101 candidates through the doctoral graduate stream as part of the Ontario Immigrant Candidates Program (OINP). Ontario has consistently welcomed the highest number of newcomers in Canada, reaching up to a third of all newcomers each year.
This is the first draw for both of these streams since June 1st. The Masters Graduate Stream candidate has her score of 37 or above and applied between August 30, 2021 and he August 30, 2022. PhD Graduate Stream candidates applying during the same period must have a minimum score of 26 or above.

More than 254 candidates were invited to apply for provincial nomination in British Columbia on August 30. BC typically holds a weekly provincial raffle draw.
Most of the candidates, 207, were invited to a drawing for technical positions. Invitations were issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories and included Express Entry candidates. The draw also included entry-level and semi-skilled candidates.
Minimum SIRS scores for eligible regional draws ranged from 95 for Express Entry skilled workers to 60 for entry-level and semi-skilled candidates. The SIRS works much like the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), but is only used for his PNP in British Columbia.
The state also held invitations for candidates to work in the following occupations.
- 29 early childhood educators and assistants with scores of 60 or higher (NOC 4214).When
- 13 healthcare workers with a score of 60 or higher
- 5 medical assistants with a score of 60 or higher
- Other key occupations with 60 points or more
manitoba
Manitoba held its latest PNP lottery on August 26 and issued 353 invitations through the Manitoba Nominations Program.
Invitations were divided into three immigration streams:
- Manitoba skilled workers issued 259 invitations with a minimum score of 619
- Skilled Workers Overseas issued 58 invitations with a minimum score of 708
- The International Education Stream issued 36 invitations with no score requirements.
Of the invited applicants, 79 had profiles in the Express Entry system.
