Seals: Assam Don Bosco University has partnered with Bangalore-based ZMotion Autonomous Systems Private Ltd to introduce courses ranging from certification to Mtech level.
Both private groups have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will particularly benefit students in the Northeast region in the coming years.
A high-tech lab named “New Frontier Technology Lab” will soon be operational. Under this collaboration, ADBU will be able to offer a host of courses from certificate to his M Tech level.
Courses introduced to the university include drone/drone design and development, advanced avionics and communications research, concept system prototype development, drone delivery system operational development, remote pilot training organization for drone operators, and project consulting. is. civil and defense applications.
Arun Seedharan, Head of Business Development at ZMotion, said:
“The dream for this country is to build a drone hub by 2030. That will only be possible if there are many skilled drone pilots who understand how drones work and how they can be used for deliveries.” he said.
“There are remote locations where travel by road is known to take a long time. In such scenarios, drones are used to deliver relief and life-saving medicines when emergencies occur. It’s possible,” he said.

The primary lab will be located on the Azara campus alongside the Technology School. For practical training, the Tapesia campus in Sonapur is also available.
According to the memorandum, application development for social welfare, medical assistance and search and rescue will be a high priority for implementation.
